4 Mistakes I Made in My Business

When I started this page, it was like in 2017. I had named it "A Lone Wolf Diary" which sounds as cringe-y as possible. It was all about poetry and quotes that I used to write. Later, I started posting self-development content, people started reaching out to me, but it's not like I planned that I wanted to earn from this, or I wanted to create this.
🙅♀️ Mistake #1: Selling to Everyone
So the first mistake that I made was selling to everyone. Because when you're starting the business, you are thinking of all the money that you have invested. I was investing a lot of energy, time, and effort. I was selling to people who were asking me about how I am doing when I was feeling low, which is the worst thing someone could ever do. So I really want you to understand that you don't have to sell all the time. Also, don't get disheartened when people don't like you.
I want you to know that think of your business as a party. If you host a party for like, people around the college-age, what will happen, some of them will come because they can. Some of them go in because their parents don't allow them, some of them will not come because they don't want to dress up, which is equal to not showing efforts. If I don't see a person joining my coaching program, that's like they don't want to put in the effort to improve themselves yet, but they will come around it, then there will be people who are not willing to socialize at all, they just want to figure it out themselves. Even at your party, there will be some people who love your party, then there will be some people who are gonna b*tch about the food, that it's not good. So I want you to understand that not everyone is going to like your business. Not everyone is going to give you good feedback and not everyone is meant for your business.
🙅♀️ Mistake #2: Planning too much
The second mistake that I did was being too strategic. I enrolled in every course, every free course that existed on your domain, or whatever platforms are out there. I enrolled in every single one of them, and I did not do them. Second, I created so many playlists on YouTube about selling, how to sell how to price yourself, etc. But I never watched them. You just have to know that to one thing that works for you and master it like anything. So do not enroll yourself in courses. This is a mistake that I made, I enrolled myself in every other thing that was available out there and I did not practice any one of them. That is why I was not seeing results. So if you feel like you're not seeing results, and you are in a lot of free resources, like me, if you binge-watch free resources, and you're still not getting the results, it's because the free resources don't get you anywhere.
🙅♀️ Mistake #3: Not Showing Up
The third mistake I did was not showing up. I freaked out to show up on stories or lives, because I was worried about what my friends are going to think about this. If you are also worried about being judged, Honey, please go ahead, show your face on Instagram. Because who cares when you start making money? Who cares when you do what you love? If you want to use filters like I am using to make myself feel confident, do it.
🙅♀️ Mistake #4: Not Believing in my Worth
The fourth mistake and the biggest one that I see many people doing is not believing in themselves. So I could do most of the things easily like I was journaling at a point of time when I did not even know what journaling is. I was like this is easy so everyone should know this right? Why would someone pay me to teach about this? This does not mean that I am above anyone, but it just means that it came to me easily. And it might not come to other people as easily as it does to me. For example, cooking is not something that comes easily to me, but it comes easily to some people very well. But you've got to understand that no one is going to believe in your work until and unless you do.
🙅♀️ Homework 🙅♀️
What mistakes do you think you are making? You don't have to correct them right away. Just write them down because awareness is the first step to change something. Journal about what mistakes you are making and why you are making that?
