What is the difference b/w Scripting & Journaling?

Even though the difference between scripting and journaling is pretty simple, are you overwhelmed by the amount of information available on the internet?

This blog post will clear all your doubts about the difference between scripting and journaling. It will also be your guide on how to script effectively!

Journaling:

In school, were you ever taught how to write a diary entry? If yes, then that is exactly what journaling is.

If no, keep reading!

When you journal, you write down about your experiences that you have already gone through, or the emotions you are feeling. You might even journal about your dreams, goals, etc. But you do not do it with the intention to manifest it. You write it down because you feel the need to express it.

Why Journal?

If there is one truth in life that you need to know about, it is the fact that there is no person who can be there for you all the time. It does sound harsh but it does not mean you do not have anyone.

You are the person who will be with yourself 24 x 7. Become your own best friend and journal whenever you feel that you have no one to listen to you. It is very therapeutic and helps you to become self-sufficient.

If you believe in a higher power, universe or God, you can use journaling as a method to get in a dialogue with that higher power. It can be like having a conversation with that person.

Scripting:

In scripting, you write about a future event (something that you desire but has not happened yet) in the present tense. You do it purely with the intention of manifesting that desire.

A script is written in detail. You explain everything about the outcome that you want but not the way that you desire to achieve that outcome. In simple words, you write down the What but not the How.

The reason behind this is if you will say you want to get a loan of $50,000 approved from the bank so that you can buy X, you limit the possibilities in which the universe can work in your favor. There might be a possibility that you get a bigger amount of sales that month and you don't even need to take a loan. Or you might get X gifted by someone in a miraculous way. But this won't happen if you keep obsessing about the HOW.

Here is an example of scripting:

Dear Universe

Thank you so much for blessing me with the $20,000! I am grateful to you and my spirit guides for constantly helping me manifest my desires with ease. I was able to purchase all the books on my wish list with that money.

I was also able to buy the crystals that I wanted and I feel so good while using them! I saved a portion of that money and donated the rest so that I can share my blessings with many others. I feel on top of the world!

Now, here are a few things to keep in mind:

  1. Focus on creating the emotion while writing out your desire

  2. Make sure you write it as if it has already happened

  3. You can write it as a letter or just as a journal entry by your future self

  4. It does not need to be lengthy, but try to make it as detailed as possible.

Problems You Might Face:

While scripting there are chances that you might start feeling low. This will happen when your ego ( not the psychological definition ) will interfere and make you believe that it is not possible to manifest your desire.

This is normal.

TIP: Script only till the time you feel good about it. Do not keep scripting if you start feeling bad. If you are new to manifestation & want a roadmap laid out for you, check out the Ultimate Manifestation Ebook which has 30 pages of detailed notes + 17-page journal prompt book

You can keep a separate journal for scripting. I tend to use mine only when I am feeling the high vibe and try to keep only good things in that journal.

The important thing is to have fun and enjoy yourself while scripting!
